We work closely with producers and communities at origin and remain involved across sourcing, processing, quality control and import. Our aim is to give roasters access not only to distinctive coffees, but also to the information and context behind them: who produced them, how they were processed, what decisions were made at origin and how those choices affect quality and flavour.
A significant part of our work is focused on naturally processed coffees and other lower-water approaches. We see water use as an important part of the sustainability conversation in coffee, particularly in regions where processing decisions have a direct impact on local resources. Rather than treating sustainability as a label, we focus on practical choices, transparent information and processing methods that make sense for the producer, the environment and the coffee itself.
Alongside quality and traceability, we place strong value on long-term relationships, community collaboration and giving producers greater visibility within the supply chain. We work to bring more of the conversation from origin into the UK and European coffee industry, helping roasters understand the people, places and processes behind the coffees they buy.
From sampling and quality control through to importing, events and direct conversations with roasters, Muskox acts as a practical connection between origin and market, with a particular focus on showing the potential of northern Colombian coffee.
