Ignacio Rodriguez Gomez
Ignacio Rodriguez inherited his farm (Finca la Palmera) fom his father. The name “embrujo” comes fom the Spanish word for “spell”. Ignacio believes that truly excellent specialty coffee will evoke the “magic of coffee” for drinkers.
Ignacio has a truly unique approach to coffee production, reinvesting in regenerative agriculture to restore the balance in their ecosistems, rebuilding soils, preserving water and enriching biodiversity very aware of the heritage and concious about the legacy his leaving for the next generations. In terms of processing he has invested heavily in standardization. Ignacio also employs 48 women year-round, many of whom are single mothers supporting their families.
