Before coffee, Howard was a teacher (PE, not Geography as is often bandied about…..). After finding his calling, he started behind a machine slowly working back down the supply chain, doing most jobs on the way including shop managing, barista training, team leading, roasting, blending, NPD, green buying & pretty much anything else associated with getting good coffee to people. Even dabbled in coffee competitions finishing 3rd in UKBC & 2nd in Brewers Cup, but that was a long time ago now…. With Olam Specialty Coffee for the last five years, he leads a team growing the business in Europe and working with internal & external supply chains, along with innovation teams and special projects.
