Franciska entered the coffee industry 11 years ago when she started working for a big chain to cover her university studies. She quickly fell in love with coffee and decided to pursue a career in the coffee industry instead of her original plan of working in politics. During the past decade she worked in many different roles from barista to trainer and roaster, but she was always drawn to the green coffee industry, especially to quality control and purchasing. About 4 years ago she found the perfect match when she joined Sucafina Specialty as Quality Control coordinator. In 2021 she acquired her Q Arabica Grader certificate and recently she was promoted to Quality Manager to lead the quality team and assist purchasing team with buying decisions. During the past years she had the chance to visit several origins and learn more about coffee growing, and post-harvest practices thanks to Sucafina’s vertically integrated supply chain.
