Coffee produce doesn’t really have a value (for a coffee consumer) until you roast and brew it and create the synergy between the coffee producer, the roaster and the barista. It’s very fulfilling to be part of that. I’m lucky to have met so many roasters, to be able to help improve quality and to share roasting know-how. Being an SCA AST really opened up my eyes for the demand for know-how in every aspect of roasting and generel coffee knowledge. I always seek to improve my own knowledge to be able to deliver consulting advice with a cutting edge quality.

MOTIVATION or INTEREST THAT GOT YOU INTO COFFEE: The connection with wine and coffee. Being part of the coffee value chain from bean to cup, unlike the wine industry.
BIGGEST INFLUENCE ON YOUR CAREER SO FAR: Loring Smart Roast and the trust they have shown me by involving me in client roast consulting, as a third party company.
