Joshua Tarlo has only ever been in coffee. Starting behind espresso machines in Canada, Joshua headed to Australia to roast and then onto the UK to become a green buyer. Currently he is the Head of Coffee at the café roastery Kiss the Hippo. He’s roasted 7 of the last 9 coffees gaining podium results at the annual UK Barista Competition and also winning the top spot himself in 2018. He’s been part of building a dozen cafes and has been frontline to see what works and what doesn’t.
