Extract Coffee Roasters
I started in roasting in 2007 - so 12 years making coffee brown. In that time I’ve restored four roasters, built a test roaster from a paint gun and even won the UK Brewers Cup Tasting Championships.
I qualified as a classically trained chef back in Cape Town. I worked at sea, in Auckland and ten years in fine dining in the UK. One day I got a call from my best mate in New Zealand, suggesting we started roasting coffee - I had murdered a few flat whites in my time in Auckland - I said yes - the rest is history.
I've always admired Stumptown Coffee Roasters, their style, authenticity and dedication to quality is something that has stood the test of time.
My go-to coffee is a good Kenyan - brewed in a cafetiere.
