This coffee is a blend of Colombian & Brazilian coffee. From our import partners, Forest Green Coffee, the washed Colombian coffee hails from the Caldas region of Colombia. It’s a mix of Caturra, Colombia, and Castillo varieties grown around 1,850 masl. The cherries were grown as part of the Reforest Project, which aims to plant 50,000 native trees throughout the region, and processed at El Vergel Estate.

Our Brazilian component comes from CARPEC, a co-operative founded in 1965. Owls can be seen flying throughout Cerrado, so CARPEC assign an owl name to each of their coffees. Black Strix has an elevated level of sweetness and is a refined iteration of the classic Cerrado profile.
